Methodology

How we built this ranking

Measure: Non-satellite providers that each report service to at least 25% of homes.

Who is included: Towns and cities with a page on this site and at least 1,000 FCC locations. Satellite providers are left out because they report service almost everywhere. Ties are broken by the number of non-satellite providers reaching at least 5% of homes, then by number of locations.

Sources: FCC National Broadband Map (provider filings as of December 30, 2025); U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS 5-year 2020-2024). Rankings are computed by software from these files; no figure is estimated by us.

Limits: these are area summaries, not address checks. Providers can serve one street and not the next. Read our methodology · Editorial policy
